About Me

Hello.  I’m Tracey Worboys.  I am a Lincolnshire based professional genealogist providing family history research services to the highest standards.

My genealogy passion was sparked after discovering a great grandfather was commemorated on the local war memorial.  I had never heard of him and just knew I needed to know more.  This find took me on a wonderful journey of discovery and I have been researching my own family tree for over 20 years now.  Believe me, there is always something new to discover.

It always seemed a natural next step for me to move on to helping others to discover more about their own family stories.   I feel that same excitement when I am bringing someone else’s family to life as I do when I am researching my own family tree.

I have achieved the Post Graduate Certificate in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies with the University of Strathclyde.  My studies continue as I work towards the PG Diploma.  By undertaking continued professional development I keep my skills up to date to ensure I always provide a quality research service.

I am a member of several family history societies and a local history society.

I am an AGRA Associate, the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives, and abide by their code of practice and ethics and I am also a student member of the Register of Qualified Genealogists, and abide by their professional code.

Testimonials

A fantastic accurate family tree produced for my paternal ancestors tracing right back to my Great Great Grandparents.  My family derived from the Orkney Island and I wanted this information prior to visiting the Islands in June 2023.  My family are all so very grateful for the insight into our history and because the family tree included dates of births and deaths this made for an easy trawl through the archives on Orkney.  We were able to establish where our ancestors were buried and located 7 graves.  Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

HEATHER

Tracey was extremely professional from our first meeting, she listened intently to the knowledge I had of my family and viewed the documents that I had gathered.  Tracey showed empathy towards my emotions when I spoke of my Grandfather.  Tracey diligently researched my family history, which was evident in the detailed report I received in a short period of time.  Tracey’s expertise is first class.
